It ‘s always a good idea to look around and see what your options are, at any price, engine size or model or style of bike for you. I recommend finding a used bike to an individual through your local newspaper, or a classified site like Craigslist.org. Dealers are generally quite a price for used bikes, as the price above the value of Bluebook.
When searching for a motorcycle, be sure to bring a friend expert bike with you if you have one. If excessive dust, grease or oil, could be a sign of potential problems. If the engine covers a brand performance on them, it is likely that they are not factory covers. Now check the string / belt and sprockets. This could mean that the bike was badly fitted, or stunted. For a belt, the same type of scenario, the belt is frayed, missing teeth, broken or cracked? Carefully inspect the frame. Part changed or repaired? Search stickers on the frame that may be hidden by default, also check that the VIN number is stamped on the frame and place is the VIN on the title, this can give a world of trouble.
A simple test drive can tell you how the bike, and any peculiarities that may arise, and also show how the bike reacts performance test and the pilot input.
